The Pool
Great pool for everyone, especially families with children. The swimming pool is 25 x 8.5 meters, the swimming pool area also has two hot tubs, steam bath, waddle pool for children, ice bath, two large water slides and a lot of toys.
Natural resources are used in the swimming pool
Chlorine is produced on site and table salt is the only ingredient needed in the production as well as electricity and water. Chlorine gas is produced and put directly into the disinfection system as well as the system produces chlorine water used to meet daily fluctuations in usage. The device is the first of its kind in Iceland. The main advantages of the new system are: No transfers between locations of hazardous substances, chlorine odour is reduced, redness in eyes and skin irritation is reduced, Eco-friendly for the staff and promotes Eco-friendly environment.
The Gym
The gym is bright and well equipped with fitness equipment from Technogym.
It also has a special area for weightlifting with punching bag, stall mats, pull up bar and more. Children under the age of fifteen are not allowed in the gym. Children in the 9th grade are allowed in the gym after an instruction from a PE Teacher.
The Gymnasium
The sports hall is 23 x 40 meters in size which is a legal handball court. It has four volleyball courts, six badminton courts, three basketball courts and one tennis court. It also has a great variety of instruments and tools for sports. Good area is in the hall for spectators.
It is possible to rent the sports hall for sport or for various events.
